Havre de Grace Voter Registration Numbers are In
The question is, how many people will vote in the May 7 election?
There are 9,008 people registered to vote in the Havre de Grace municipal election, according to the Harford County Board of Elections.
How many will turn out? That's up to the citizens.

The 2013 election is Tuesday, May 7. There are and two ballot questions for voters to weigh in about this year. Voting will take place from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. at St. Patrick's Church Hall (700 Pennington Ave.) in Havre de Grace.
Biller's Bikes on N. Juniata Street produced a public service announcement to encourage voter turnout, which is attached to this article. It is also on YouTube. "This town belongs to everybody," one person in the video stated via a chalkboard message, followed by scenes of historic downtown Havre de Grace and the Chesapeake Bay.

Citizens can learn more about the election on our Havre de Grace 2013 Election page, and attend a candidate forum on Wednesday, May 1, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Sponsored by the Ontario-Otsego Positive Action Committee, the forum offers a chance for citizens to ask questions of the candidates at City Hall.
As of 2011, Havre de Grace had a population of 13,040, according to the 2010 census. Those figures indicate 69 percent of residents are registered to vote, but only 12 to 14 percent of residents have voted in the past two municipal elections.
