The popular Washington Street boutique is moving a short distance away this week.

A popular island is moving to a new location in Havre de Grace this week.

the popular Washington Street boutique, is moving across the street—from its location at 114 North Washington St. to a corner storefront at 101 B North Washington St.

Store owner Kelly Falkenstine said the move will take place Tuesday  and she hopes to have the business up and running in its new location by the end of the week.

Falkenstine said the new location's layout and larger window display opportunities were the major draw for the move.

Island Jack specializes in "all things laid back, relaxed and effortlessly stylish." Its most popular items include handbags and jewelry.

The new store is located in the building previously occupied by Chesapeake Cycle & Sport.

At the , a wood deck built into the city right-of-way along Union Avenue was approved for the property.
