Havre de Grace's Maritime Museum To Launch Soft Opening Saturday
The facility, which has been closed due to the coronavirus pandemic recently, will reopen to the public this weekend starting on Saturday.
HAVRE DE GRACE, MD – Officials from the Havre de Grace Maritime Museum and Environmental Center have announced that after being closed due to the coronavirus pandemic, the facility will reopen on Saturday.
The museum will open for a soft opening with temporary hours beginning Saturday, when visitors will be required to wear masks and practice social distancing. Museum officials announced in a Facebook post that they have been working hard to thoroughly disinfect the facility and have temporarily removed touch-based exhibits as a safety measure.
The museum will be opened during the soft opening from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on Saturdays and from 1-5 p.m. on Sundays.

The museum is a 10,000 square foot, three-story facility that includes two galleries on the main floor. The ground floor supports a working boat shop as well as the museum’s Environmental Center which includes a gallery, indoor and outdoor classroom and a researching and teaching laboratory.
Admission for the museum is $4 for individuals and $9 for families.
