HdG Activity Center Temporarily Closed
Workers installing cable near the Havre de Grace Activity Center hit a utility line.
The day after firefighters responded to an antifreeze issue at the Havre de Grace Activity Center, Harford County officials said the building would be temporarily closed.
Firefighters with the Susquehanna Hose Company responded to the 300 block of Lewis Lane Monday afternoon, where workers installing fiber-optic cable hit a line connected to the building's HVAC system, resulting in a coolant leak, Chief Scott Hurst told Patch.
The activity center was closed Tuesday, when it was without heat or air conditioning, according to The Aegis.
On Wednesday and Thursday, the center at 351 Lewis Lane will continue to be closed for repairs on the heating system, according to a statement from Harford County.
A complication has caused the repair to take longer than anticipated, and officials hope the center will reopen by Friday, a Harford County government spokesman told The Aegis.
