HdG Christmas Parade And Holly Jolly First Friday Set For Dec. 7

The annual Havre de Grace holiday parade and Christmas tree lighting are happening on "Holly Jolly First Friday" downtown.

HAVRE DE GRACE, MD — The Havre de Grace Christmas tree lighting and parade are set for Friday, Dec. 7. The night has been dubbed "Holly Jolly First Friday" and coincides with a holiday market, special Christmas tree auction and the opening of Santa Land.

New this year for the festivities are food trucks 410 Empanadas, Cowboy Eats, Baltimore Crab Cake Company and Teriyaki Grill, according to Havre de Grace Tourism. They will be parked along Pennington Avenue.

4-8 p.m. — Holiday Tree Jubilee silent auction at Le Banque De Fleuve, 321 St. John St.

4:30 p.m. — Children's activities like Santa Lane Express train rides

6 p.m. — Christmas Parade from St. John Street to Washington Street to Congress Avenue

Post parade — Santa and Mayor Bill Martin light the tree

After tree lighting — Santa available to meet with children in Santa Land

Stores downtown will be open for extended hours for the occasion.
