McDonald's Honors HdG Educator with McTeacher of the Year Night

Since Havre de Grace educator Kristin Schaub was named Teacher of the Year in Harford County, the McDonald's on Route 40 is having a "McTeacher of the Year Night" in her honor, Harford County Public Schools announced Monday.

Schaub, a fifth grade teacher at Havre de Grace Elementary School, was named Teacher of the Year during a ceremony at the Bayou Restaurant in May. The title is in effect for the 2013–2014 academic year.

On Oct. 1, the community is invited to join Schaub at the Havre de Grace McDonald's, where 20 percent of all sales during the McTeacher of the Year event will go to Havre de Grace Elementary School.

The McTeacher of the Year festivities will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 1, at 802 Pulaski Hwy. in Havre de Grace.
