HdG Evacuations, Road Closure Ensue After Gas Line Hit: SHCO

BREAKING: A struck gas line has cleared out some residents from their homes in Havre de Grace, officials said.

HAVRE DE GRACE, MD - Some residents have been evacuated and a stretch of road was closed in the city of Havre de Grace Thursday morning due to a struck gas line, according to the Susquehanna Hose Company.

The gas line was hit at South Washington Street and Alliance Street, where BGE was assessing the situation, the hose company reported after 11 a.m. Firefighters were at the scene as a precaution as well.

City officials said that North Washington Street was closed between Harford Memorial Hospital and Commerce Street for the response.
