HdG Family Wins $100,000 from Scratchoff: Maryland Lottery
While a woman in Havre de Grace was in the hospital, her family raked in a $100K win.

HAVRE DE GRACE, MD — A family from Havre de Grace that won $100,000 from the Maryland Lottery plans to buy a house.
Tim Kiel, 36, was taking his two sons to a movie while their mother was in the hospital for a preexisting condition, officials said, when they stopped at the Aberdeen Shell in the 1000 block of Middleton Road to get gas. Kiel purchased a Ravens scratchoff ticket and was amazed with his results.
"I just couldn’t believe it,” Kiel said upon realizing he had hit the top prize. “I called my wife immediately to tell her.”
