HdG Holly Jolly First Friday: Roads Closed, Parade, Tree Lighting
Several roads will be closed off for the parade, tree lighting and "Holly Jolly First Friday" activities in Havre de Grace.

HAVRE DE GRACE, MD — The holidays come to Havre de Grace Friday night with the annual "Holly Jolly First Friday" celebration. On the list of events are a parade, visits with Santa, holiday market and more.
The parade starts at 6 p.m. at Lafayette Square, according to officials. From there, it will travel along Saint John Street, bear right onto Washington Street and continue onto Congress Avenue.
After the parade, Santa and Havre de Grace Mayor William Martin will light the city's Christmas tree at Rochambeau Plaza on Saint John Street.

Once the tree is lit, Santa will hear children's wishes at Santa Land on Washington Street.
Traffic Alert: Road Closures
Road closures have already begun, according to police: Pennington Avenue closed at Lodge Lane at 1 p.m. and will be closed until 9 p.m.

These streets will be closed from 3 to 9 p.m., according to the Havre de Grace Police Department:
- Warren Street at Union Avenue
- Franklin Street at Union Avenue
- Green Street at Saint John Street
- Saint John Street at Pennington Avenue
- Washington Street at Congress Avenue
- Pennington Avenue at Lodge Lane
What Is Happening?
Merchants, food trucks and holiday entertainment will be on tap during First Friday.
Festivities start at 4 p.m. and continue until 8 p.m., with the parade at 6 p.m.

Forecast
The National Weather Service is calling for temperatures with a high of 51 degrees and a low of 32.
There is a 30 percent chance of scattered showers after 4 p.m., with winds up to 10 mph.
It will be cloudy in the early evening, then will gradually clear, according to the forecast for Havre de Grace.
