HdG Mardi Gras Parade And MasquerAID Ball Coming Up

HAVRE DE GRACE, MD — Mark your calendar: The Havre de Grace Mardi Gras Parade is coming up on March 5. Before the big event, there will be a MasquerAID.

The MasquerAID Ball will take place at the Havre de Grace Community Center on Saturday, Feb. 23. It is put together by the Havre de Grace Arts Collective and is the largest fundraiser of the year for the Cultural Center at the Opera House.

Costumes are optional, and ticket prices include food inspired by New Orleans as well as beer and wine. A silent auction, music and dancing will round out the offerings.

Tickets to the MasquerAID Ball are $65 if purchased before Friday, Feb. 8. Then they increase to $75. They are available online and at the Havre de Grace Visitor Center at 450 Pennington Avenue.

Mardi Gras Parade 2019

The annual Havre de Grace Mardi Gras Parade is set for Tuesday, March 5, also known as "Fat Tuesday."

The route will take participants down Bourbon Street to Washington Street to the American Legion on St. John Street.

The annual Havre de Grace Mardi Gras Parade is slated for 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 5.

If the parade is postponed due to rain or snow, it will be held on Friday, March 8.
