HdG Police: Juveniles Caused $1,300 in Damage to Vehicles

Vehicles were parked near Freedom Lane on Franklin Street, police said.

Boys on bikes damaged two vehicles on Franklin Street near Freedom Lane over the weekend, the Havre de Grace Police Department reported Tuesday.

At 10:55 p.m. on Friday, a witness told police that juveniles were throwing rocks at vehicles on Freedom Lane and hit a van in the 600 block of Franklin Street. 

Although police canvassed the area, officers could not find the suspects, who were described as two young men on bikes.

Officials estimated the damage to a Red Astro van, which had been struck on the rear driver's side door, was $500.

The juveniles also damaged another vehicle in the 600 block of Franklin Street, which was reported the following day at 4:11 p.m., police said.

A Toyota Corolla that had been parked near Freedom Lane had 15 strike marks on it, according to police, who said it was estimated that there was $800 in damage.
