Havre de Grace Sees About $3.9M in August Home Sales

In August, Havre de Grace properties sold faster and at a higher price than in July, but the amount of total sales took a slight dip.

About $3.9 million worth of real estate was sold in August, amounting to a drop in sales of about 7 percent from July and nearly 50 percent less than August 2010. The number of homes sold also decreased by about 50 percent from last year. Overall, Harford County also saw a drop in sales of about 24 percent from July to August.

Properties in 21078 sold, on average, in 133 days—43 days faster than they did in July.

Of the 13 properties that exchanged hands in August, seven were in or Grace Harbour. Four sold in 30 days or less.

Homes sold for about 92 percent of their list price, selling on average of about $299K—$48K more than Harford County’s average.

Twenty-eight new listings hit the market in August becoming part of the 159 for sale.

Currently, there are 172 properties in Havre de Grace for sale, ranging from $34,500 to $1.75 million. Fourteen are for sale on Havre de Grace’s waterfront.

Ten properties hit the market September 10-17.
