HdG Wreaths Across America Ceremony 2018 Honors Lives Lost
The ceremony in Havre de Grace was coordinated by Joseph L. Davis American Legion Post 47.

HAVRE DE GRACE, MD — The Joseph L. Davis American Legion Post 47 honored the memories of fallen veterans over the weekend as part of the Wreaths Across America program. The legion held a wreath laying ceremony at Angel Park.
Wreaths Across America Day 2018 was Saturday, Dec. 15. It is held annually on the second Saturday of December.
The Wreaths Across America organization coordinates more than 1,400 wreath-laying ceremonies each year — including the one where it all started, at Arlington National Cemetery. The goal is to honor fallen veterans and remind everyone of the value of freedom.

Families, volunteers, and members of the U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Navy, U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Air Force and U.S. Merchant Marines participated in the wreath laying in Havre de Grace, city officials reported.


Wreaths for POWs and MIAs were presented at the Wreaths Across America ceremony by Joseph L. Davis American Legion Post Commander Bud Lilly, U.S. Army by Major General Randy S. Taylor, United States Marine Corps by Rev. Rick Haynes, U.S. Navy by Council Member Jason Robertson, U.S. Air Force by Steve Koester, United States Coast Guard by Johnny Boker and U.S. Merchant Marines by Bill Crouse.
