Herbert Shepler, Custom Yacht Builder, Dies at 72

Herbert Lee Shepler, of Havre de Grace, passed away on April 19. He was 72.

Mr. Shepler was born in Bremerton, Washington to Herbert Gregory Shepler and Frances Carmen Shepler.

Mr. Shepler was the loving companion of 20 years of Judith Clare Zosh. He was the father of Herbert Lee Shepler Jr.; Mark Shepler of Stanwood, Wash.; Todd Shepler of Seattle; and Heidi Shepler of Baltimore He was the grandfather of Alexander James Shepler. He was the brother of Anna Katherine Ormsby, and the late Carmen Kiel.

Mr. Shepler was an independent entrepreneur throughout his life. He built and repaired computers, was a project manager, and was a custom yacht builder. He loved politics, and serving his local community, and was an essential part of the Log Pond Community.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 23, from 6 to 8 p.m., at, P.A., 123 South Washington Street, Havre de Grace.

A Time of Sharing will begin at 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
