HHS Homecoming Parade Volunteers Still Needed
The parade is Friday and HHS students need help decorating their floats before then.

Organizers of Friday's Havre de Grace High School Homecoming Parade said Tuesday they are still looking for volunteers and donations.
The theme for the parade is superheroes, and each class chose one. According to event organizer Dena Cardwell, the selections were as follows:
- Seniors—Superman
- Juniors—Spiderman
- Sophomores—Captain America
- Freshmen—Ironman
"We need volunteers to help with the floats," said Shyla Glassman, who is co-organizing the parade with Cardwell. "Anybody can come help."
Volunteers may meet at the old opera house (120 N. Union Ave.) daily from 2:15 to 7:30 p.m.
Gift cards to Dollar Tree or Walmart are also needed for materials and costumes, Cardwell added.
The parade will be at 4:45 p.m. Friday, before the Warriors take on the Aberdeen Eagles at 7 p.m.
In the pre-game parade, the Warriors football team will ride through town with Mayor Wayne Dougherty on Susquehanna Hose Company equipment, according to Cardwell. She said the hose company was sending a tower, engine and one other piece of equipment to the parade.
In addition to the fire engines, the class floats will travel from Hutchins Park down Congress Avenue to Havre de Grace High School. Coakleys, Vulcan, Havre de Grace Ambulance Corps and Maryland State Police are also participating, Cardwell said.
The parade will be approximately 20 minutes, according to Glassman, who said: "We're asking everyone to come out and rally the Warriors!"
