Home Invasion on Gracecroft Court Sends 2 to Hospital: Police
Police said six to eight suspects were involved, some wearing masks and wielding guns.
The Havre de Grace Police Department is investigating an armed home invasion that sent two people to the hospital, police reported Thursday.
Between 11:40 p.m. and midnight on Tuesday, multiple suspects entered a home on Gracecroft Court, police said.
A man was inside the home in the 200 block of Gracecroft Court when six to eight men—some armed with handguns and wearing masks—entered the residence and demanded money, police said.
The man fought back and injured at least one of the suspects, according to police.
The invaders hit the man in the head several times, injuring him, police said.
In the midst of the robbery, a woman arrived home and the suspects started demanding money from her, according to police.
The suspects stayed in the home for half an hour demanding money until the victims provided a small amount, police said.
Soon after the suspects left, a third man who also lived there arrived home and found the two victims distraught, according to police.
He took them to Harford Memorial Hospital, in the 500 block of South Union Avenue, where they were treated and officers were called early Wednesday morning, police said.
The man was treated for a head injury and released, according to Julie Morgan, spokeswoman for the Havre de Grace Police Department. The woman did not appear to have visible physical injuries, police said.
Detectives are investigating the incident as targeted, according to police.
