Hospital Patient Bites Guard Over Bed, HdG Police Say
Havre de Grace police said the individual also assaulted another security guard.
A patient at Harford Memorial Hospital assaulted two hospital security guards Wednesday in response to a request that she move her bed, according to a report from the Havre de Grace Police Department.
At 3:23 a.m. on Wednesday, police were summoned to the hospital in the 500 block of South Union Avenue, where a patient had assaulted two security guards.
The patient had put her bed against the wall and when staff asked her to return it to the middle of the room, she refused.

Hospital security intervened and as officials tried to move the bed to the middle of the room with her in it, the patient got out of bed and hit one guard in the chest, then bit another guard on the bicep.
Police referred the individuals involved to the commissioner to press charges.
