$400K House Fire In Cecil County Under Investigation: Officials

CECIL COUNTY, MD — State authorities are investigating the cause of a Cecil County house fire that caused approximately $400,000 worth of damage.

According to the Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office, fire crews responded to a blaze at 203 Water Wheel Dr. in Port Deposit shortly after 12:20 a.m. Friday. Firefighters were able to extinguish the blaze in 30 minutes, officials said.

No injuries were reported.

While the cause of the blaze remains under investigation, officials said it likely started behind a pellet stove in the home.
