Inaugural Healing Arts And Music Festival Kicks Off In Abingdon
The first Healing Arts and Music Festival starts Friday in Abingdon's Friendship Park. There will be workshops, live music, interactive art.

ABINGDON, MD — Experience the benefits of meditation and yoga, enjoy live music and observe artists in action at the inaugural Healing Arts and Music Festival at Friendship Park.
The two-day, family-friendly event is a partnership between the Maryland Center for the Arts and the Soul Lift.
Attendees can register for wellness spaces and workshops, engage in interactive art and learn more about holistic practices.
The festival was inspired by Emily Adolph, a Harford County native and founder of The Soul Lift. Adolph's own journey of rediscovering creativity, embodiment and inner truth became the foundation for the festival, she told Patch.

After years of feeling disconnected from her most authentic self, she found healing through music, art and holistic practices, and felt called to create a space where others could experience that same sense of reconnection within a supportive community.
The weekend will feature live performances from a lineup of local and regional musicians, including headliners Cat Bone & The Charm City Sinners on Friday and Pretty War on Saturday, alongside morning yoga sessions, interactive art experiences and wellness workshops.
A full schedule can be found at healingartsandmusic.com, along with ticket prices and additional festival details. Children and youth 12 and under attend free with a ticketed adult.
