Indecent Exposure Charge Filed Against Aberdeen Man For Parking Lot Incident

An Aberdeen man has been charged after police say he exposed himself to a woman in her car in a parking lot, then committed a lewd act.

ABERDEEN, MD — A 37-year-old Aberdeen man who police say exposed himself to a female in a parking lot and committed a lewd act has been charged with indecent exposure.

On Aug. 12 around 10:18 a.m., Aberdeen police officers were called to the Aberdeen Shopping Plaza for a report of an indecent exposure incident. The investigation determined that a man had exposed himself to a female victim and committed a lewd act while she was sitting inside her vehicle. The suspect fled the scene before officers arrived, the police department stated.

Officers later found the suspect in the area of Beards Hill Road, identified him as the individual involved in the incident and took him into custody, police said.

The suspect was identified as Frederick Harris, 37, of Aberdeen. Harris was released from police custody due to a medical situation, officials said, so an application for charges was filed and an arrest warrant was issued.

During the early morning hours of Aug. 13, an Aberdeen officer found Harris. Officers arrested him on the active warrant and took him to the Harford County Detention Center where he was charged with indecent exposure.
