As Rain Looms First Friday Shifts Indoors In Havre de Grace

First Friday is on tap in Havre de Grace, with deals and live music planned even if it rains.

HAVRE DE GRACE, MD — It's First Friday in Havre de Grace on Friday, Aug. 3. That means live music, food and drink deals and retailers offering specials from 5 to 9:30 p.m. downtown.

There is rain in the forecast, but several events will be happening inside regardless.

Havre de Grace Tourism officials said that the original plans for an outdoor street festival would be modified, issuing this statement Friday afternoon: "Due to the threat of heavy winds and rain, we will not be closing the streets for First Fridays. Please join us inside for a meal, drinks, and entertainment at our restaurants and shopping in our stores."

Arts by the Bay Gallery will have live demonstrations from 5 to 9 p.m. at 307 Saint John Street.

Blue Heron Gifts & Floral will offer 25 percent off vintage-inspired decor at 454-456 Franklin Street.

Coakley's Pub will have food specials inside and outside. Russ & Korey will play at 6 p.m. in the beer garden and will play inside if there is rain at 406 Saint John Street.

Lagom will have live music from Chaplin the Kid at 209 North Washington Street.

Edel's Bridal Boutique will have live music in the courtyard at 5 p.m. and offer a bridal sale with up to $200 off in the store at 315 Saint John Street.
