​James Preston Sheckels, 50, Of Havre de Grace

James Preston Sheckels, of Havre de Grace, passed away on Dec. 22, 2017. He was 50 years old. Mr. Sheckels was born in Baltimore to Robert William Sheckels and Jacqueline Mae Miller.

He was the loving husband 24 years to Amy Dean Sheckels, devoted father of Emily May Sheckels, William Lee Sheckels, and Preston Dean Sheckels, and dear brother of Robert William Sheckels. He is also survived by his step-mother Mary Sheckels.

Mr. Sheckels worked at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Quality Assurance in cancer research. He was a member of Havre de Grace United Methodist Church. He enjoyed watching his children play sports and walking his dog, Ryder.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, Dec. 28, 2017, from 12-1 p.m., at Havre de Grace United Methodist Church, 101 S. Union Avenue, Havre de Grace, MD. Services will begin at 1 p.m. Pastor Norman Obenshain will officiate.
