Jet-Skiers Rescued By Good Samaritan Near Sand Island

The Susquehanna Hose Company's fire boat was among those dispatched to a rescue on the Chesapeake.

HAVRE DE GRACE, MD - A good Samaritan came to the rescue of stranded jet-skiers Sunday evening near Havre de Grace, officials said.

Before 5:30 p.m., the Susquehanna Hose Company reported that it was dispatched to part of the Chesapeake Bay near Sand Island, where two jet-skis had sunk.

While the hose company's fire boat and Cecil County's marine crew were on the way, officials said a good Samaritan picked up the two people from the water and brought them ashore.

First responders were at the ready at the city park to provide medical attention, the Susquehanna Hose Company reported.
