Joan D. Kaylor, 80, of Havre de Grace

Joan D. Kaylor, of Havre de Grace, passed away on Dec. 27, 2015. She was 80.

Mrs. Kaylor was born in Glasgow, Penn., to Roy L. Dixon and Eldine L. Boone Dixon. She was the wife of the late John Thomas Kaylor, loving step-mother of Scott L. Kaylor and his wife Rose, of Jacksonville, Fla., and Wesley W. Kaylor and his wife Michelle, of Gold Canyon, Ariz., and was the step-grandmother of Kirsten H. Kaylor, Jessica Lynn Kaylor, Jay W. Kaylor, Stuart Kaylor and Steven Kaylor. Mrs. Kaylor was the dear sister of Elwwod Dixon, Patrick Dixon, Robert Dixon, Eugene Dixon, Lester Dixon, Shella Bierlair, Karen Harris, Shirley Patton and the late Catherine McGowan.

Mrs. Kaylor worked for Bell of Pennsylvania and then C&P Telephone. She was a member of the Elk’s Lodge in Havre de Grace. She enjoyed bowling and softball.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2015, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 South Washington Street, Havre de Grace. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Dec. 31, 2015, at 9:30 a.m., at Havre de Grace United Methodist Church, 101 South Union Avenue, Havre de Grace. Pastor Norman Obenshain will officiate. Interment will be held at Harford Memorial Gardens.
