Job opening: Executive Director

The Havre de Grace Martime Museum and Environmental Center (the Museum) is accepting applications for an opening as a part-time executive director (21 hours per week).  We are seeking an environmental professional and dedicated educator / interpreter with strong writing, organizational, and inter-personal skills and fund raising and grant writing experience.

The museum, located on the shore of the Chesapeake Bay is embarking on an expanded mission to create an environmental center in 3,000 square feet of classroom, laboratory and exhibit space.  The position of executive director has been vacant for almost one-year as the Board of Directors reorganized the museum and developed new strategic and business plans.  The museum is now run by volunteers and part-time staff.  The executive director will work with the museum president and the board to manage the museum and will largely focus on standing up the environmental center.
