
John B. Walker, 88, of Havre de Grace, MD, passed away on Dec. 29, 2015, at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air.
Born in Bel Air, he was the son of the late John Quincy Walker and Lula Mae (Combs) Walker.
He served our country in the U.S. Army and was a member of the American Legion Post #39 in Bel Air. He retired from Aberdeen Proving Ground in 1974 where he was a Computer Analyst. He then went on to become the Director of the CETA Employment Training Program for Harford County until about 1984. He enjoyed traveling through Europe and especially throughout the United States.

Mr. Walker is survived by his wife, Geraldean Ruth Walker; sons, John M. Walker and wife, Sharon, of Bel Air and Paul T. Walker and wife, Karen, of Jarrettsville; daughter, Lorraine W. Quick of Bel Air; stepdaughters, Sharon L. Richardson and husband, Brian, of Havre de Grace and Brenda J. Jones and husband, David, of Bel Air; sister, Mary M. Bailey of Venice, FL; 11 grandchildren, Katie, Michael, Kristy, Travis, Seth, Zachary, Isaac, Nathaniel, Rebekah, Tyler and Sierra; and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife, Doris Reed Walker.
Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 3, 2016, at McComas Funeral Home, 1317 Cokesbury Road, Abingdon.

A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 4, 2016, at McComas Funeral Home, 1317 Cokesbury Road, Abingdon.
