John Wayne Steelman, 70, Of Havre de Grace

John Wayne Steelman, 70, of Havre de Grace, passed away on April 8, 2017, at his home. Born in Fountain Green, he was the son of Eugene and Oda (Edwards) Steelman. He was a 1965 graduate of Bel Air High School, a 1967 graduate of Harford Community College, worked at Pantry Pride and retired from Shoppers. He was a terrific caregiver for his parents, brothers and sisters and was an avid trapper, hunter and fisherman. He was an all-around good man and will be missed by everyone who knew him.

Mr. Steelman is survived by two brothers, William F. Steelman and Larry F. Steelman; sister, Marie Anderson; 16 nieces and nephews; and 29 great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by brothers, Alvin, James, Roger and Ronnie Steelman and sister, Peggy Fink.

Visitation is 10 a.m. to noon on Thursday, April 13. A memorial service will be held at noon on Thursday, April 13, at McComas Funeral Home, 1317 Cokesbury Rd., Abingdon, MD 21009.

Pallbearers will be Chris, Tony, Joey, Billy and Jim Steelman, Gary and Kevin Anderson and Johnny Fink.
