Kayakers Rescued By Susquehanna Hose Company

Boaters were found by emergency personnel from Harford and Cecil counties, officials reported.

HAVRE DE GRACE, MD - Two kayakers were ferried back to Havre de Grace Friday afternoon by the Susquehanna Hose Company's fire boat.

First responders from Harford and Cecil counties investigated a report of a kayaker in distress around 4 p.m. on the Susquehanna River, the hose company reported.

They located two kayakers who were safe on Garrett Island, and the hose company brought them to Havre de Grace via the department's fire boat.

The area is under a severe thunderstorm watch until 9 p.m. on Friday.
