Lane Closures Planned On Hatem Bridge

Roadwork on the Hatem Bridge is planned through Dec. 8, transportation officials advise.

HAVRE DE GRACE, MD — Drivers may experience lane closures on the Hatem Bridge due to roadway patching over the next two weeks. Transportation officials advise motorists to plan accordingly and to remain vigilant.

One lane of eastbound and one lane of westbound US 40 may be closed on the bridge, which connects Cecil and Harford counties. The closures are slated for weekdays through Friday, Dec. 8.

Flagging may be in place for both eastbound and westbound traffic during the roadwork, with crews alternating closures.

Staffers will be patching the road, with work contingent on weather conditions.

The lane closures and flagging operation are planned from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays from Monday, Nov. 27, to Friday, Dec. 8, according to the Maryland Transportation Authority.
