Large Equipment to Move Through Havre de Grace: State Highway Administration

Traffic alert: Drivers should plan alternate routes, allow for extra time Tuesday, Wednesday nights due to heavy-duty transport.

Large machinery will be moving through Harford County Tuesday night via Havre de Grace, the State Highway Administration advises.

The equipment will also be traveling through other parts of the county on Wednesday evening as it makes its way to Pennsylvania.

Drivers are encouraged to take alternate routes and/or allow for extra time if travel plans coincide with the machinery's path.

Bay Crane will begin moving the equipment at 9 p.m. on Tuesday, March 29, from the Vulcan Quarry and will stop before 5 a.m. at Dublin United Methodist Church.

The route is as follows, according to the State Highway Administration: MD 155 west to MD 161/Darlington Road to US 1/Conowingo Road south to MD 136/Whiteford Road north to Dublin United Methodist Church parking lot.

Overnight the equipment will stay at the church parking lot, and it will be on the move again at 9 p.m. Wednesday.

State highway officials said this is Wednesday's route: MD 136 north to MD 440/Dublin Road west to MD 543/Ady Road north to MD 165/Pylesville Road north to Mason Dixon Line (Maryland-Pennsylvania line).

Pennsylvania State Police will meet the convoy at the state line and escort it for a third night of travel.
