Two-hour workshop will be taught by Registered Dietitian Barbara Wagner.

Learn how you can ferment your own foods ah home in this two hour workshop taught by Registered Dietitian Barbara Wagner. The workshop will be held on Tuesday July 21 from 6:30 to 8:30 pm in The Meeting Place on the 2nd floor of Bahoukas GreenJoy at 467 Franklin Street in Havre de Grace.

Each participant will learn:

  • health benefits of fermented foods
  • food fermentation basics
  • proper fermentation vessels

The workshop fee ($25) includes supplies for starting your own fermented pickles in class.

Barbara Wagner is a Registered Dietitian with over 25 years of clinical experience who has a passion for Whole Foods Plant Based Nutrition, and all things green and environmentally friendly. Barbara is a Certified Instructor for the Food For Life Program with the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, has a Maryland License as a Nutritionist and has a Plant Focused Private Practice in Nutrition in Havre de Grace. She also owns and operates a retail store (BAHOUKAS GreenJoy) that focuses on vintage use-ables and eco-friendly products. Her building also includes community meeting space and hosts a range of meetings classes and workshops. She loves to grow her own food and live a sustainable life.
