Lighted Boat Parade To Kick Off 2021 HdG Waterfront Festival

HAVRE DE GRACE, MD — A lighted boat parade is slated for Friday night in Havre de Grace.

Boats will be visible from Tydings Park to the Amtrak bridge.

Steel drum band Steel Pandemic will play in Concord Point Park, where food trucks and a beer garden will add to the festivities Friday night.

Organizers encourage people to bring a blanket or lawn chair and soak in the sights of the lit boats cruising by along the Susquehanna.

The boat parade is slated for 7 to 9:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 20.

Local dignitaries including Mayor William Martin will judge the parade.

The event serves as the kickoff for the Waterfront Festival, which takes place Saturday and Sunday in Havre de Grace.
