Lightning Strikes Shed in Havre de Grace: Fire Marshal

HAVRE DE GRACE, MD – Lightning struck a shed in Havre de Grace Wednesday night, according to the Office of the State Fire Marshal.

The wooden shed in the 200 block of Seneca Avenue was hit on the roof by lightning at approximately 8:39 p.m., the fire marshal reported.

A neighbor alerted authorities to the lightning strike, and Susquehanna Hose Company firefighters spent about 10 minutes bringing it under control, according to the report.

There was $15,000 in damage as a result of the fire, officials said.
