Though MacGregor's had some rough patches this month, with a theft and vandalism in the same week, there was one ace in the hole, restaurant owner Dan Lee said.
His son who manages MacGregor's—Alex Lee—hit a hole in one during the annual John Carroll School golf tournament, Lee said.
According to Lee, his son was filling in for a friend who was unable to attend the Aug. 19 event at Maryland Golf & Country Club.
"It was on the last hole that we were playing," Lee said, which was the sixteenth. "He hit it a foot over the pin and it went back into the hole."
The odds of hitting a hole in one are roughly 12,000 to one, according to Golf Digest.

For achieving the rare feat, Alex Lee won a head-to-toe outfit and a $500 online shopping spree from golf outfitter Travis Matthew. So if you see him around looking like he's headed for the links, he may be wearing his winnings!
