Tydings Bridge Crash Caused Miles of Backups on Thursday: MDTA

There were miles of delays on Interstate 95 north between Harford and Cecil counties, the Maryland Transportation Authority reported.

There were major delays on the Tydings Bridge Thursday afternoon due to a crash.

Transportation officials said that two vehicles collided on I-95 north near mile post 91 before 3 p.m.

There was a 2.5-mile backup after traffic was temporarily held on I-95 north, authorities said. The Susquehanna Hose Company was among those responding to the emergency.

After 4 p.m., the left was the only one getting by, while the two right lanes were still closed on I-95 north on the Tydings Bridge, according to the Maryland Transportation Authority.

Before 5 p.m., all lanes had reopened on the bridge, officials said.
