Man Answers Door in Perryman, Gets Shot: Sheriff
The victim reportedly told the Harford County Sheriff's Office he heard a knocking and opened the door.

Police are investigating a shooting that happened early Thursday morning in Perryman, according to a report from the Harford County Sheriff’s Office.
After 1:30 a.m., deputies responded to a shooting in the 300 block of Mayberry Drive near Aberdeen, according to the report.
A 22-year-old man had been shot in the upper torso, according to the sheriff’s office.

The man said he heard knocking so opened the door to find two men in dark clothing standing on the stairs, one with a handgun that he fired at the victim, according to the report.
After being shot, he closed the door and called 911, according to the sheriff’s office, which reported he was treated and released by Thursday afternoon.

The sheriff’s office reports that it is working to determine a motive.
