The man started touching the woman until she screamed, police said.
A Harford County man faces assault and burglary charges related to an incident on Revolution Street over the weekend, police said.
At 4:31 p.m. on Sunday, a woman reported that she was entering her apartment building in the 100 block of Revolution Street when a man followed her, according to police.
Stoney Lee Henderson, 48, of the 600 block of Walker Street in Aberdeen, forced his way into the woman's apartment, where he began touching her arm and saying things of a sexual nature, the Havre de Grace Police Department reported.
When the victim screamed, Henderson left, and officers found him, seemingly intoxicated, on a bench outside the apartment, according to the report.
As Henderson was being placed under arrest, a representative from the property told him that he was no longer allowed on the premises, and he spat in the person's face, police said.
Henderson was charged with two counts of second-degree assault and one count of third-degree burglary.
He was being held at the Harford County Detention Center.
