Man Rescued From Water Near Concord Point Lighthouse: Officials
Emergency personnel handled a call for a water rescue in the Susquehanna River Monday night in Havre de Grace.

HAVRE DE GRACE, MD — Rescuers were called to the Susquehanna River near Concord Point Monday night, according to authorities. A man had required assistance getting out of the water around 7:30 p.m., the Susquehanna Hose Company reported.
The man had jumped into the river to get fishing equipment when he became winded, according to officials, who responded to the water rescue call in the area of the Concord Point Lighthouse.
Emergency personnel reported they were clearing the scene by 7:50 p.m.

There is a small craft advisory in effect until 9 a.m. on Tuesday, July 17, due to winds of 18 to 33 knots in the Chesapeake Bay, according to the National Weather Service. Boaters of smaller vessels are advised to avoid navigating in the current conditions.
