The 5th annual begins on Bourbon Street near , turns down Washington Street, veers onto St. John Street en route to the Lafayette statue.

For a town that thrives in the summertime, a late winter party can be a jolt to the local economy.
"The parade began five years ago and has grown to include more than 20 organizations to include Harford County Department of Recreation, restaurants, musicians, and local small businesses,” , Havre de Grace marketing and tourism manager, said in a statement. “As the tourist season slows, we felt the need to wake up our community, think local and celebrate small business with great food, music, art, and a Mardi Gras Parade.”
The parade will include floats and performers from local organizations and businesses.

Ron Browning of , and an organizer of the parade, said: “It will be exciting to see the floats created by our restaurants and businesses.
" is continuing its “Be Local” theme with a float and will be voting in a King and Queen. kicks off celebrating its 25th year with a car raffle, featuring the Buick Verano in the parade. The creativity of our city will shine on Fat Tuesday," Browning said.
