Mary Thompson, 86, Of Havre de Grace

Mary Jane Simering Thompson, of Havre de Grace, passed away on Oct. 13, 2017. She was 86.

Mrs. Thompson was born in Baltimore to Daniel Simering and June L. Cabot Simering. She was the devoted wife of the late Robert Lee Thompson, loving mother of Paula Lorraine Ellison and her husband Lloyd A. Ellison, of Pasadena, Maryland, and Beverly Ann Michaels of Havre de Grace, Maryland. She was the adored grandmother of Robert B. Ellison and his wife Jill E. Ellison, Cynthia D. Ward and her husband Timothy, and Bruce C. Mori and his girlfriend Yvette, and great-grandmother of Nick, Ally, Andrew, Ian, Blake, Nathan, William and Stella. She was predeceased by her siblings, Robert McKenry, Daniel Simering, and Sara Youngbar.

Mrs. Thompson worked as a Pharmacy Tech at Citizens Nursing Home Pharmacy. She enjoyed crafting, reading a wide range of genres and gardening.

A visitation will be held on Friday, Oct. 20, 2017, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 S. Washington St., Havre de Grace, MD.

Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
