Two Crashes Near Tydings Bridge Jammed Traffic

A medevac was called to pick up one of those involved in the crashes Saturday afternoon between Harford and Cecil counties.

Two crashes caused delays for drivers taking the Tydings Bridge on Saturday afternoon in their travels between Harford and Cecil counties.

Before 4 p.m., a single vehicle crashed on Interstate 95 south past the exit for Perryville, officials said. A helicopter was called to take one person for treatment, according to the Susquehanna Hose Company.

While crews were handling that incident, another collision occurred on the opposite side of I-95. That one involved two vehicles on I-95 north before the exit for MD 222, transportation officials reported.

Two lanes were closed on both north and southbound I-95 from approximately 4 to 5 p.m.

Lanes reopened on I-95 south past the exit for MD 222 after 4:30 p.m.

On I-95 north before the exit for MD 222, lanes had reopened shortly after 5 p.m., according to the Maryland Transportation Authority.
