Meet Liliana

I met my parents in the summer of 2004, while participating in a program Kidsave. I was 13 years old. I stayed with my family for 6 weeks. It was not easy at first I did not speak English they did not speak Russian. Thank God for translators and dictionary. Slowly I fell in love with them. But I was not sure about adoption. I was counting on my birth family. But my new family started paper work, despite me saying no at first.

As it turned out my birth family did not want me. Adoption process took 2 long hard years. Very long and very very hard. I came home on July 28, 2006. I been home since. I adore my family, and thank God every day.

Someone once said if everyone adopt one child, there would be no orphans. And this is my dream.
