Memorial Day 2017: What's Open, Closed In Havre de Grace

HAVRE DE GRACE, MD — Memorial Day weekend means plenty of closures in observance of the holiday. We've put together a quick guide to what will be open, what will be closed as well as where to commemorate veterans.

The city of Havre de Grace will hold a Memorial Day service at Angel Hill Cemetery at 9 a.m. on Monday, May 29. There will also be an 11 a.m. remembrance with speakers at Tydings Park.

All Harford County public schools, libraries and government offices will be closed on Monday, May 29, for the holiday. The Harford Waste Disposal Center will also be closed in observance of Memorial Day.

For Havre de Grace residents, the holiday curbside collection schedule will be in effect the week of May 29 due to the Memorial Day holiday in the city. All collections will be pushed back a day, and there will be no bulk collections that week. Those who live in apartments or gated community as well as business owners should check with their respective haulers.

All public parks will be open.
