Memorial Day In Havre de Grace 2018: Ceremony, Closures

HAVRE DE GRACE, MD — This Memorial Day, the city of Havre de Grace will honor those who made the supreme sacrifice for their country. There will be two ceremonies as well as a lunch hosted by American Legion Post 47.

The Havre de Grace Memorial Day events will begin at 9 a.m. on Monday, May 28, at Angel Hill Cemetery.

A ceremony is also slated for 11 a.m. on Monday, May 28, at Tydings Park.

Following the Tydings Park event, the American Legion Post 47 will offer light fare for those who attended. The light fare lunch will be at the legion at 501 Saint John Street in Havre de Grace.

What's Open, Closed For Memorial Day In HdG

City Hall will be closed Monday, May 28, in observance of Memorial Day.

There's no change to the regular curbside collection schedule. Bulk collection will be canceled for the week.

Alert: Closures In Tydings Park

Picnic locations for the Memorial Day holiday will be very limited at Tydings Park, where some areas will be closed for approximately three weeks due to the recent sod installation, according to city officials.
