
Michael Dean Smith of Havre de Grace died Oct. 11; he was 64.
Smith was a decoy collector and traveler. He worked as a chemical engineer for Battelle in Aberdeen after retiring from the Department of Defense at Aberdeen Proving Ground, where he worked for 32 years, according to his obituary.
He was the husband of Billee Smith, who owns Distinctive Decor, and is also survived by three sons, one brother and a sister. View his complete obituary here.
There will be a viewing from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in addition to 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at Zellman Funeral Home (123 S. Washington St.) in Havre de Grace.
The funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. Monday at Zellman Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may go to the Havre de Grace Decoy Museum (215 Giles St.) or The Community Projects of Havre de Grace Opera House Project (224 N. Washington St.).
