HAVRE DE GRACE, MD — Havre de Grace Elementary School was put on a modified lockdown Wednesday, according to the Havre de Grace Police Department. Police said the measure was precautionary due to police activity in the area.

Officials said a domestic incident in the area of the elementary school, which is located in the 600 block of South Juniata Street, prompted the lockdown.

"The police incident is completed and the school will go off lockdown at the direction of school security," the Havre de Grace Police Department reported before 2 p.m.
