New Health Clinic Opens on Lewis Lane

Beacon Health is a partnership between Upper Chesapeake, West Cecil Health Center.

A new clinic opened in Havre de Grace Monday that is a grant-funded partnership between a Cecil County provider and Harford County health system.

This 4,500-square-foot Beacon Health clinic on Lewis Lane will offer primary care, mental health, pediatrics, women’s care, and, in the near future, dental care to residents of Cecil and Harford counties, according to Upper Chesapeake Health.

The Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene and the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation are funding the facility through grants, and the University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake HealthLink and the West Cecil Health Center are handling operations.

Beacon Health will accept most insurance plans or offer a sliding fee scale based on income. The clinic is on the Harford County Transit LINK bus route, which runs between Cecil and Harford counties.

Beacon Health is located at 253 Lewis Lane, Suite 202, and is reachable at 443-731-3147. The facility is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday; noon to 8 p.m. on Wednesday; and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the first and third Saturdays of the month.
