MARC Train Service Still Suspended at Aberdeen, Perryville

Trains will be departing from Edgewood station on Wednesday.

The Maryland Transportation Authority said that MARC service at Aberdeen and Perryville stations would continue to be suspended Wednesday as crews clean up the tracks on the northeast corridor.

Service was cancelled at Aberdeen and Perryville stations Tuesday morning after a freight train ripped through the area, tearing down wires and utility poles along the rails, the authority reported.

On Wednesday morning, trains that would have left from Aberdeen and Perryville will depart from Edgewood instead, and bus service will be provided to Edgewood, approximately 20 to 30 minutes earlier than usual train departures from those two stations.
