Hospital Security Breaks Up Patient Assault: HdG Crime

Two men were arrested in the past two days in Havre de Grace, according to police.

HAVRE DE GRACE, MD — The Havre de Grace Police Department provided the following information about recent incidents. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

At approximately 11:15 a.m. on Nov. 13, a Havre de Grace man was arrested in the 600 block Ohio Street. He was charged with second-degree assault and unauthorized removal of property. Police allege the man, who lives in the 800 block of Locust Street, assaulted his spouse and was also arrested for a traffic violation other than DWI.

A 46-year-old man of an unknown address was arrested in the 500 block of South Union Avenue at 1 p.m. on Nov. 12. He was wanted on a warrant out of Baltimore City for failure to appear.

A woman's purse was taken from an unlocked vehicle in the 600 block of Green Street. The theft was reported at 11:01 a.m. on Nov. 12. The bag contained personal papers. The estimated loss was $73.

Two patients had an argument in the 500 block of South Union Avenue. Nobody was injured in the assault that was reported at 5:14 p.m. on Nov. 11. Hospital security handled the incident.
