Paving Project Underway Citywide In Havre de Grace

Which roads in Havre de Grace do you think need to be repaved?

HAVRE DE GRACE, MD — Have you noticed paving projects around Havre de Grace? Municipal officials announced that the city has begun several projects.

It may be just the beginning for the next chapter of Havre de Grace roads. Mayor Bill Martin aims to continue fixing roads in disrepair by more than doubling the city's paving budget.

The mayor is proposing increasing the paving budget from $200,000 to $750,000 for the next fiscal year.

It will be used "aggressively to address deteriorating roads," according to a statement from the city.

The project that started the last week in April will include several roads and parking lots.

Havre de Grace officials said that the following are included in the recent paving endeavor:

  • Havre de Grace Community Center parking lot
  • Cultural Center at the Opera House parking lot
  • Lodge Lane from Franklin Street to Fountain Street
  • Linden Lane from Legion Drive to Juniata Street
